House Baguès french excellence in bronze art and lighting since the 19th century.
Founded around 1860, Maison Baguès quickly established itself as one of Paris's leading names in art bronze. At a time when ornamentation and the decorative arts were booming, the company specialized in the creation of lighting fixtures, furniture and decorative objects crafted with remarkable precision.

Right from the start, the company developed a range of objects in gilt bronze, , wrought iron, , cut crystal and noble materials that reveal an exceptional mastery of casting, chasing, mounting and gilding. The workshops perpetuate the know-how of 18th-century French traditions, while adapting it to modern aesthetics and the demands of top decorators.

Baguès became world-famous for its pendant sconces, its bronze and crystal chandeliers, its metal foil lamps, its wrought-iron tables and its floral and exotic-inspired carvings. Our most emblematic creations include chandeliers with foliage branches, "bird" lamps, sconces in the shape of branches, and lighting adorned with hand-mounted crystals. Each piece is conceived as a true objet d'art.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the house experienced a major boom thanks to demand from grand hotels, palaces, private residences, prestige ships and luxury boutiques. Lighting fixtures Baguès adorn Parisian salons, aristocratic residences and interiors decorated by the greatest names in design. Their style blends grace, refinement, balance and a unique sense of luminous sculpture.

The company excels particularly in its works in chased bronze, each leaf, scroll and branch is meticulously crafted. The mercury gilding, the masterful patina, the assembly of pendants and crystals all bear witness to the exacting standards that bring each luminaire closer to a sculptural work of art than to a simple functional object.

From the 1920s to the 1940s, Baguès became a benchmark for Art Deco, with collections in a more geometric style, combining glass, metal, modern lines and refined motifs. Designs from this period are highly sought-after today for their architectural elegance and balance between sobriety and sophistication.

House Baguès also carries on a tradition of reissue and restoration our workshops restore antique pieces, re-edit historic models and adapt certain designs to contemporary projects, enabling decorators and collectors to rediscover the original spirit of the house.

Even today, Maison Baguès occupies a unique place in the world of luxury décor. Its lighting fixtures remain landmarks of French design, prized for their timeless beauty, handmade craftsmanship and strong sculptural presence. Owning a creation Baguès, to welcome an object fashioned according to a know-how that has almost disappeared, a fragment of the great French tradition of bronze and light.
