Guillerme and Chambron the combination of sculptural design and French craftsmanship frompost-war

A legendary collaboration in French design, Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron set up their workshop in the early 1950s, at a time when the reconstruction ofpost-war stimulates a new modernity.
Together, they create an instantly recognizable style, combining traditional craftsmanship, sculptural creativity and modern comfort.

A strong, coherent stylistic identity

The works of Guillerme and Chambron recognize each other by: solid oak, hand-crafted, with generous, expressive shapes, sculpted, graphic lines and complex, meticulous assembly,
openwork backrests, highly elaborate bases,
robust yet elegant proportions. Their furniture, both functional and decorative, evokes a warm, authentic and profoundly French aesthetic.

La maison Votre Maison: a unique workshop in France

Guillerme and Chambron work exclusively with Your home, a factory founded in Lille, which produces their creations using traditional artisanal processes.
Each piece is carefully crafted by cabinetmakers who master the techniques of solid oak, wood assembly and hand finishing.

This combination of contemporary design and know how regional expertise gives their furniture an unmistakable identity.

Sculptural and expressive furniture

The duo designs a range of furniture with powerful silhouettes, including: sideboards with sculpted fronts, tables with architectural legs, comfortable armchairs and sofas, chairs with openwork backs, beds, lighting fixtures, desks and one-off pieces. Their sense of sculpture gives furniture a rare visual presence, sometimes verging on a work of art.

Warm modernity

Unlike other, stricter modernists, Guillerme and Chambron defend a warm modernity based on :
solid wood,
the craftsman's hand,
texture,
user-friendly shapes,
day-to-day functionality.

This approach explains the enduring success of their creations, which easily find their place in contemporary interiors as well as in more traditional spaces.

A style that has become iconic and much sought-after

From the 2000s onwards, the works of Guillerme and Chambron are enjoying a spectacular revival.
Collectors, decorators and design enthusiasts make their own their recognizable and expressive aesthetic.
Today, the duo is considered one of the pillars of French design in the 20th centurypost-war, alongside Pierre Chapo, charlotte Perriand or Jean Royère.

Authenticity, character and rarity

Each signed piece Guillerme and Chambron bears the stamp of meticulous craftsmanship.
Carved wood, intricate joints and traditional finishes make each piece unique.
These characteristics explain the rarity and growing value of their work on the design market.

Owning a piece of Guillerme and Chambron, is to choose furniture with strong character, exceptional craftsmanship and timeless beauty.
