Lalique France: an absolute icon of French crystal, combining heritage and contemporary creation. 
The history of Lalique begins with René Lalique (1860-1945) was an exceptional artist, first famous for his Art Nouveau jewellery, then for his glass creations, which revolutionised the decorative arts in the early 20th century. A visionary, Lalique realised early on that glass could be a sculptural material in its own right, capable of combining transparency, opalescence and light. 

From the 1900s onwards, he invented an unprecedented aesthetic language: sensual volumes, naturalistic motifs and total mastery of moulding, engraving and frosting.
