This standing bear sculpture in mango wood evokes all the power and majesty of nature.

The sculpture represents a bear standing on its hind legs, frozen in a realistic, defensive posture. Entirely carved from dark wood, it bears witness to meticulous sculpting, with a detailed rendering of the fur, evoking both the dense texture of the coat and the powerful volume of the body. The forelegs are slightly bent, with the front legs drawn up towards the chest in an almost violent, even defensive stance. The animal rests on a sculpted base in the shape of a trunk or stylised stump, accentuating the natural effect of the whole and firmly anchoring the figure in space. The overall treatment combines realism and stylisation, giving the work a presence that's both familiar and sculptural.

Perfect for a chalet, mountain or rustic setting, this bear brings a touch of character and warmth to your home. Its natural patina and slight marks of age tell the story of a living object that has stood the test of time while retaining its authentic charm.
