Alain Letessier a creator between architecture, art and innovation 

Since the 1970s, Alain Letessier pursues an artistic and architectural approach based on balance, functionality and openness to the world. Born in 1952, he trained in architecture before devoting himself to the study of antique objects and furniture from Asia. His travels, particularly to Thailand, China, Tibet and Indonesia, have shaped his vision and nurtured a unique sensitivity to materials, spirituality and harmony. 

A travelling antique dealer, a witness to Asian arts 

During his explorations, Letessier collects objects, discovers know how and developed an expertise that led him to open several galleries devoted to Asian antiques. This activity gave him the opportunity to reflect deeply on the form, proportion and symbolism of objects. It has had a lasting impact on his approach to design, where simplicity, line and attention to detail are central. 

The invention of modular design 

In 1984, he created the Double Your Living Space, a modular furnishing system designed to optimise contemporary interiors. This innovative project anticipates the problems of modern living and introduces a new way of thinking about space. Flexible, aesthetic and functional, this approach quickly spread to a variety of fields, including aeronautics with the fitting out of Falcon aircraft cabins. 

A global architectural vision 

From 2000 onwards, Alain Letessier develops integral architectural projects, in which every detail is part of a coherent whole. His designs are characterised by a subtle use of materials, a fluid flow between spaces, a mastery of light and a quest for harmony inspired by Feng Shui. He believes that a space should be thought of as a whole, as a territory where volumes, furniture, light and objects interact. 

A pioneering ecological conscience 

Committed to sustainable living, Letessier founded the LATULPA association and launched the yOmOtic, a self-sufficient habitat capable of producing energy, water and food. This concept sums up his vision of responsible design, where architecture and ecology come together to offer a way of life that respects the environment.
