FontanaArte was founded in 1932 in Italy, on the initiative of Gio Ponti and Pietro Chiesa, the house was born out of a desire to showcase the work of the architects of the time. The house was born out of a desire to enhance the value of glass as the central material of contemporary design, going beyond its purely decorative use to make it a structural and functional element. Right from the start, FontanaArte is distinguished by an approach that combines traditional craftsmanship with a spirit of innovation.
Glass is an essential part of our identity. Transparent, frosted, etched or coloured glass is used to create lights, mirrors, tables and decorative objects with pure lines. This mastery of the material allows us to develop new forms, in which light becomes an integral part of the object.
